Of textile and semi-conductor

Well, I gotta admit sometimes I am not too sure if I have made the right move switching to semi-conductor after over 8 years being spun, woven and dyed in the so-called sunset textile industry.

In the world of textiles, researchers are now working to develop fabrics from metallic fibres to measure stress. How cool is that?

At the core of the vest is “wearable electronics”. This consists of sensors woven into the fabric that register the electrical excitation of the muscle fibers, and thin conducting metallic fibers that pass the signals to an electronic analysis system.

Now would you say this is a marriage of semi-conductor and textile?
