Putrajaya

I was away from Penang last week. Went to Putrajaya and KL during Hari Raya to escape the hustle and bustle of Penang traffic! Traffic in downtown KL was super - so few cars on the road and it was so easy to drive in the capital. Shopping complexes like Ikano Power Centre, 1-Utama and Times Square were packed with people.

Putrajaya - the brain child of former PM of Malaysia, Dr. Mahathir, is a new government township. This place is huge, very well planned development and the government buildings are all unique - very modern.

This majestic building houses the PM's Department - overlooking a stretch of other beautiful government offices. You can see the new convention centre at the other end from here... just like in Paris where one can easily see the old Arc of Triumph from the new one in La Defense.

Mosque in Putrajaya.

Some tour busses were seen ferrying tourists to Putrajaya.

Don't know what building this is?

One of the few ultra modern looking bridge in PJ - Putrajaya.

Nice - close up of bridge.

Some houses in Putrajaya.
