Proton Tiara on fire
A Proton Tiara caught fire 200m before the Penang Bridge toll coming from Butterworth at 5:30 pm earlier today. I was a few cars behind when it happened and I saw all the action going on. A fire truck was rushing to the scene from the Prai fire station nearby. Firemen trying to put off the fire, police directing the ever buzy traffic, curious on-lookers stoping by the shoulder to catch a glimpse of the action.
Thanks to blogging, now you can also see what I saw.
From a hundred metres, you can see the smoke billowing.
A little closer. A fire truck just arrived and firemen rushing to put off the fire.
Fire under control. At one point the whole trunk of the car was up in flames.
Yup, it's a Proton Tiara alright.

Wow i had read that a Gen 2 had also caught on fire,but that was several months ago . Well i like the look of Gen 2 but think ,i'll stick with bigger car although the Gen 2 did receive good raves in aussie mags

once saw a car burning near the muzium negara here... burning so badly until the whole car black. the roadside grass had a big burnt-out patch on it as well.
terrible. kesian the car owner.
