Management

A team of senior managers were given an assignment to measure the height of a flagpole. So the managers went out to the flagpole with measuring tapes and ladders.

One by one they started falling off the ladders, dropping the measuring tapes - the whole thing was in a mess.

Then I came along and saw what they were trying to do. I walked over, pulled the flagpole out of the ground and laid the flagpole flat on the ground. I measured the flagpole from end to end and gave the measurement to one of the managers and walked away.

After I was gone, one senior manager turned to another, laughed and exclaimed, "Isn't that the stupidest thing? Is he an idiot or what? We're looking for the height and he gave us the length!"

Moral of the story:
No matter what good you do, management can always find fault in you.
