Wedding Eve
In the traditional Chinese customs, the bride and groom will pray to the God of Heaven at 12 midnight on the Eve of the wedding day. In hokkien, this is known as the "Pai Thnee Kong" ceremony. Besides praying to the "Thnee Kong", the bride and groom will also pray to the ancestors supposedly to tell those already passed on that the bride and groom will tie the knot. This is a general custom most Chinese families practice in a marriage.
And in this "Phai Thnee Kong" ceremony, the Chinese believes the bride and groom will have to wear some red color clothes as the color red symbolises happiness. I wore a bit of red... yes just a tiny bitsy pinch of red.
No. Actually, that's the costume I stole from Shaolin Tiger. It comes with a nice chinese vampire or "keong si" hat too!
