Chilling out in Hong Kong

Alot of people have asked me where did I go while I was there over the weekend? Some colleagues asked which interesting places did I visit? You know that kind of tourist questions ... did you see this, did you eat this? How was the weather? Was it cold?

As a matter of fact, I did not go to HK as a tourist. I was there on a mission. A very personal one. Anyway, here are 2 more pics taken when I was there.

HK is actually a damn depressing place la. At least to me. Everywhere high rise, everywhere everyone rushing on the MTR, late at night, people are still in their working clothes. And the kids, poor them got no life except going to those arcade to burn money. There is no place like Penang. Yay!

I 've been to HongKong, but only a stopover for my flight to London. but Mami and I managed to 'tour' HK for few hours. It was so crowded and people are just rushing! If going with kids, have to be extra careful. If the kid lost (!!), then sayonara-o, sayonaro-o.

But I m looking forward to go back again, this time as a tourist and for a longer stay.

BTW, thanks for the link dude!

5xmom - For me, it's a very convenient city. There are shops everywhere and the public transportation (MTR, busses, taxis, star ferry, airport express train and trams aka ting ting)is superb.

On the other hand, owning a car there can be quite expensive. Parking charges can go as high as RM50 or more depending on where you park. Food is freaking expensive too. One roti canai is HKD8 or RM4! Cannot imagine how a piece of roti where we can get it here for 50 or 60 cents is soooooo expensive. Aiya, you should know more than me la!

Papi - Yea, it so crowded in the streets. I've never seen so many people in my life b4 I went there for the 1st time 3 years ago...And on the link, the pleasure is all mine.

i guess you know cantonese, ks, that's why you enjoy being in HK. for me, i don't know cantonese so i will feel kind of awkward if alone in HK without a cantonese speaking friend. and i heard that the HK people don't like it when people like me, a chinese speak to them in english.
