Men are like fine wine

...because they began as grapes and it's up to the women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

How to stay awake in meetings

1. Before (or during) your next meeting, seminar or conference call, prepare yourself by drawing a square. I find that 5"x 5" is a good size. Divide the card into columns, five across and five down. That will give you 25 one inch blocks.

2. Write one of the following words/phrases in each block:

* synergy
* strategic fit
* core competencies
* best practice
* bottom line
* revisit
* take that off-line
* 24/7
* out of the loop
* benchmark
* value-added
* pro-active
* win-win
* think outside the box
* fast track
* result-driven
* empower (or empowerment)
* knowledge base
* at the end of the day
* touch base
* mind-set
* client focus(ed)
* paradigm
* game plan
* leverage
and last but not least MOVING FORWARD......

3. Check off the appropriate block when you hear one of those words/phrases.

4. When you get five blocks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, stand up and shout, "BULLSH!T!"

Testimonials from satisfied "BullSh!t Bingo" players:

"I had been in the meeting for only five minutes when I won."
- Paul D.,Caloundra

"My attention span at meetings has improved dramatically."
- David D.,Rockhampton

"The atmosphere was tense in the last process meeting as 14 of us waited for the fifth box."
- Ben G., Sydney

"The speaker was stunned as eight of us screamed 'BULLSH!T!' for the third time in two hours."
- Kathleen L Canberra

What is wrong with this company?

I was at a job interview today in a plastic injection moulding factory. For goodness sake, it is stated very clearly in my CV that my current salary is RMXXXX so why the fuck would they bother to call me for this interview if what they are ready to offer is about half of what I am getting? Stupid fucks! Wasted 1 hour in the interview.

Apartment updates

I only have time to work on my apartment during the weekends. The ceiling lights, fans and the decorative lights which I purchased last week have been fixed.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
4 blade fan, twin florescent light with nice cover and 2 horse ac unit in the living area.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I have a decorative light on the other side of the wall in the living.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
2 decorative lights in the master bedroom. The bed will go in between these 2.

Everything seems to be on schedule and with still some time to spare, I decided to make something different in one corner of my apartment. This is only half complete. It's a hidden light and just needed a finishing touch.

Apartment on fire

This is another berita terkini/breaking news brought to you by kstang.blogspot.com.

An apartment near The Penang State Mosque was on fire today at about 6pm. 4 fire trucks from the Perak Road fire station rushed to the scene and I witnessed it all.

I was working on my apartment when I saw this...
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
About 5~10 minutes after the fire started. Thick smoke billowing up the sky.

Here are more pics...
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I witnessed this from the 17th floor.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Smoke can be seen from a few miles away. State mosque is on the right.

The fire spread up to the roof at one point.

You can see the fire in this shot. I think it took the firemen about 15 minutes or so to put out the fire.

Vulgar boss

Does your boss say these to you?

"Why are you so free?"
"You got no balls. You better wear a skirt to work tomorrow!"
"Get the fuck out! Get the fuck out now!!!"
"Are you sleeping?"
"Are your balls coming out?"
"I would have sacked you!"
"Did you forget to bring your balls to work?"
"Can I lend you my balls?"

Mine does.

What's wrong with this picture?

Imagine a couple having dinner in a restaurant. That kind of restaurant where people walking along the sidewalk can easily see what's going on inside.

Well, one fine day somewhere near Picadally Circus in London, there I was walking with some friends. Saw this couple having dinner in one of those restaurants. Cheekily, I went and posed for a pic next to them. See how the guy was embarassed and that gal was actually blowing kisses to me??? At least that was what I thought.

Was I rude when I did this - when I got my pic taken with the couple fine dining in the restaurant???

Proton Tiara on fire

A Proton Tiara caught fire 200m before the Penang Bridge toll coming from Butterworth at 5:30 pm earlier today. I was a few cars behind when it happened and I saw all the action going on. A fire truck was rushing to the scene from the Prai fire station nearby. Firemen trying to put off the fire, police directing the ever buzy traffic, curious on-lookers stoping by the shoulder to catch a glimpse of the action.

Thanks to blogging, now you can also see what I saw.

From a hundred metres, you can see the smoke billowing.

A little closer. A fire truck just arrived and firemen rushing to put off the fire.

Fire under control. At one point the whole trunk of the car was up in flames.

Yup, it's a Proton Tiara alright.

Malaysia's own spiderman

Did you hear about Malaysia's own spiderman?

If I could be...

Got tagged by Chee Aun.

If KS could be a lawyer, he would sue everyone who criticise his blog entries.

If KS could be an actor, he would be in the first x-rated film to win an Oscar.

If KS could be a TV-Chat Show host, he would make David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey retire early.

If KS could be a chef, he would work with Anthony Bourdain to make the best dish in the world.

If KS could be a CEO, he would work from his home and make as many employees work from their homes as much as possible.

I am so selfish that I am not gonna tag anyone.

Life in a high rise apartment

My new place is about 80% ready. It's on schedule but I am feeling rather uneasy now. There is something that is making me kinda nervous. I guess this feeling comes about coz I've never lived in a high rise apartment in my entire life. My new place is on the 17th floor. It's a 31 storey apartment. That's a pretty high rise apartment I reckon.

You see, I've been living in a house all my life except for about a year when I was studying in KL. But then again, I stayed in the ground floor of a relatively low apartment, only 5 stories high to be exact.

For a first, parking my car and getting into an apartment is something I need to get used to. I will have to park in the specified parking lot, then walk to the lift lobby and take the lift to my floor then walk some more to my unit. Presently, I simply park my car in front of the house and just needed to skip a couple of steps to get into the house. I am already starting to think of the inconvenience I will soon face after getting grocery from Tesco by the trolley load!

That is just one of the many inconveniences I have to get used to. Others include waiting for the lifts, living very close to other dwellers, sharing the same facilities like pool, gym...etc etc etc. I don't like to wait for the lift. What happens if I get a serious tummy upset all of a sudden inside the lift? Damn... that's the way of life of modern living.

Almost complete

I have almost done painting my apartment. Too tired to type after half a day of working in the office then rushed back to finish up the paint job. Let the pics do the talking...typing...whatever. Just let the pics make you imagine.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
This is the color I chose for my bedroom. Something like a peachy color. I painted just one wall in the bedroom to make the color stands out. The other walls are white. Now imagine the bed in the center and 2 decorative lights on each side of the wall.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The down light in the ceiling in the toilet is done.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The water pipe inlet connected to the cistern in the toilet has been modified to include a hose to wash my backside after shitting.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The small rectangular hole in the wall between the dining and the kitchen had been cemented. Just need to re-paint that part after some plastering.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
This is the false ceiling at the entrance. Down light will be fixed later.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
And then there is the mess.

Your world of ideas

That's the tagline for Ikea. Reason for not updating my blog during the last weekend was because I was away shopping at Ikea in Damansara, KL.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Some of the stuff I got from Ikea and Jusco. A couple of pillows, a stool, toilet mats, mattress cover, toilet brush and extension socket.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
When I got back from KL I saw 4 racks of Carsberg lying around the house. A big event coming up???

Black money scam in KL

Read in the newpaper today that a Malaysian lost RM3 million. Wouldn't have happened if that guy have read my blog entries.

Damn stupid Maybank staff. I wasted 45 minutes to collect my new credit cards. No wait! I still haven't got my cards. I waited for 45 minutes for him to search for my cards but he couldn't find them. Dang! Maybe I will blog about this another time.
